FAQ's-Skydive

Skydive FAQ

How often do you run trips?
We run trips on a daily basis, every hour between 9:00 till 17:00

How much do you charge for skydiving?
We charge R1650 for sky diving. We also run a sandboarding & skydiving combo which costs R1950.

Is there any previous experience required?
No previous experience of sky diving is required, as we give full instruction.
The only criteria must be adhered to, is that jumpers must weigh less than 105 kg.

Is it dangerous?
Our team is highly qualified with a massive amount of experience and we only go when the weather conditions are ideal. Being with a Tandem Jump Master means that this activity is very safe.

Where do I do the jump?
The jump is in the area of the Atlantis dunes, which is a 40 minutes drive from the city centre. It offers great views of the city, coastline, Table Mountain & Robben Island.

What do I need to bring?
You need to bring warm, comfortable clothing, even with warm weather, and sensible footwear.

How fast am I going in a free fall and how long will that take?
The free fall will take 25-30 seconds at 220 km per hour. Once the parachute has opened, you will have a descent of 4-5 minutes

Isn’t it weather dependant?
Skydiving is highly weather dependant. If the conditions are unsuitable and you have already paid and got your voucher, we will try to reschedule you for a better day, or offer a full refund if this isn’t possible.

Can I get it filmed?
You can arrange to have an expert cameraman jump with you who will film the whole thing, and provide you with a full DVD of the experience.
