First you’ll learn how to glide down gigantic dunes like a Snowboarder on slopes. The best part about Sandboarding: It’s easy to learn which means it’s accessible to the absolute beginner. That’s right – adrenaline is just a slide away! It is also the best way to learn the fundamentals of Snowboarding as the basic principles are the same. Our expert boarders will show you just how easy it is on the largest dunes in the Cape, just up the West Coast. We give a complete sandboarding course, based on Internationally Accredited snowboarding training.

This addictive adrenaline sport is taking the world by storm. By using the latest equipment and techniques, Downhill Adventures greatly contributes to the innovation of this sport. We’ll take you to the largest dunes in the Cape where our expert instructors will teach riders the proper technique to ensure safety and ease of learning.
After mastering the basics of Sandboarding under the African sun, we’ll shake off the sand and head to the beach. There we’ll show you how to ride some waves for the second half of the day.
We teach absolute beginners the basics of surfing by showing you how to paddle out, catch a wave and control your body weight to stand up. Professional surfers take you out into the water and give you individual training to make you more confident in the waves. Surfing is usually done at Blouberg, Big Bay, Long Beach or Cool Bay where there are almost always the perfect waves to learn on. If there are waves in Muizenberg on the day, we will definitely pursue the warmer waters.
You do not need any previous experience. Our experienced guides will have u sandboarding like a pro in no time!

Being a good swimmer certainly helps but even a basic swimmer can become a skilled surfer. However, if you cannot swim at all then spend some time taking swimming lessons before taking on the mighty ocean!
Cape Towns waters can be rather cold but we will supply you with a wetsuit to keep you warm during your surfing experience.
